The International Transportation Industry Chamber (CIT), identified by the acronym “CIT, founded on May 25, 2002, by an initiative of the National Confederation of Transport of Brazil (CNT), is a civil association of private law, non-profit, with structure and international scope, fully sponsored by CNT.

Its main objective is to defend and protect the interests of carriers and their representative entities, to act institutionally before private or public entities, to promote studies for the development and improvement of cargo on transportation techniques and passengers.

Also, to promote meetings, seminars, courses, and lectures about transportation, energy, telematics, environment, innovation, technologies, and applications related to the industries by different models and education, training, and research on subjects of interest in the member countries.

In summary, supporting transportation around the world by discussing technical topics and being aware of trends, especially in marketing, technology, and energy.

Following the XXXII Ordinary General Assembly (AGO) held in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, from November 04 to 06, 2019, CIT has initiated a new process for countries to participate in its extensive member network. The ways to participate in the CIT network are as follows: OBSERVING MEMBERS, ASSOCIATED MEMBERS, and AFFILIATED MEMBERS.

For all forms of participation, your country’s flag will appear in the member countries’ gallery of honor and will be incorporated in a ceremony at the first subsequent Assembly after approval of the membership.
